A few things people ask
Booking, insurance, and paperwork run through Headway. The questions below are the ones that come up before a first session.
How do I book?
Start on the Book page, then continue to Headway. That’s where live openings live, and where you can see whether your insurance is listed and what your copay looks like. I use Headway as an independent clinician — they aren’t my employer.
What happens after I book?
Headway will ask you to finish setting up your account and complete intake forms — insurance, consent, and similar paperwork. Do that in your Headway account before we meet. Nothing clinical is collected on this website. If a form is missing, Headway can remind you, and I can resend it from my side.
Are you part of Headway?
No. This is my own private practice. Headway is the platform I use to schedule, check insurance, and bill. You’ll see their name on booking and statements. The therapy itself is with me.
Do you see people in person?
Not right now. Sessions are virtual, in English. I’m licensed as an LPC in Texas, so you should be physically in Texas at the time of the session.
Who do you work with?
Kids, teens, adults, and older adults. Care is individual — including child and adolescent work, which sometimes looks more like play than a sit-down talk. I don’t offer family therapy, even if that’s listed on another site.
What do people usually come in for?
Anxiety, depression, sleep trouble, anger, relationship stress, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, panic, grief, identity questions, and that feeling that work or life just isn’t working. If you’re not sure it “counts,” it still belongs here. We don’t need a perfect label to start.
What is a session like?
It should feel like a real conversation, not a performance. You don’t need the right words. We’ll talk about what’s been hard, how it shows up now, and what might actually help during the week. I don’t use one method with everyone — sometimes that’s more structure (like CBT), sometimes it’s more about the relationship in the room.
What insurance do you take?
Through Headway I currently list Aetna, Ascension, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Carelon Behavioral Health, Cigna, and Providence Health Plan. Plans and coverage can change, so confirm yours on Headway when you book. That’s also where you’ll see an estimated copay.
What does it cost?
If you’re using insurance, Headway shows the current estimated copay when you schedule. I don’t list a self-pay rate here because it isn’t on my public profile. If cost is a concern, check the estimate on Headway before you confirm a time.
What language do you speak in session?
English. That’s the language I use in session, on this site, and on Headway.
Is this a place to go in a crisis?
This practice isn’t a crisis line, and this website isn’t monitored for emergencies. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For 24/7 support, you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
